Description

Nine-time grand prix winner Mark Webber spent 12 years in Formula 1, most of them in the teeth of adversity: from wrestling with sub-optimal machinery at Minardi and Jaguar to providing adult supervision at a young Red Bull Racing, and a not always happy partnership with Sebastian Vettel. We take you through Webber’s early career and path to F1, from his arrival in the UK and Formula Ford in 1996, to joining up with Benetton and Flavio Briatore in 2001 and his transition to Jaguar and eventually Red Bull Racing. All photos used are taken from Motorsport Images, the largest collection of motorsport pictures in the world. (Warning, video contains some explicit language)
